This month of leadership in our churches we focus on faith. Faith has been defined by so many and eloquently preached by more but the results show us another trend . Many preaching it seems to be doing alright but many listening appear not so much . So What is wrong and how can we correct it ? My involvement in the body of Christ coupled with my vast research shows that there is a disconnect between those teaching faith and many receiving the message maybe largely because it’s been preached as a formula ; Faith is believing without seeing , evidence of things not seen , is now , connects the seen with the unseen , whilst all these are true , an important ingredient is missing in many faith messages which is the relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ . Calvary was all about redemption to connect . Many of us have got the redemption part but many more still struggling with the connection part .

The only reason Faith is now is because Jesus is alive and not dead , the only reason it’s evidence of things not seen is because Jesus rules the spiritual realm on our behalf and the only reason faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word is because Jesus is the word of God.

Hebrews 11:1 will not work until you understand and believe Hebrews 11:6- “Those who come to the Lord must believe that He is , and that He is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him “.

The active ingredient of faith is found in your knowing Jesus and believing His words and promises . That relationship builds trust which gives confidence from where hope springs from and Faith is birthed . I hope this blesses someone out there .
